Hey everyone! If you’ve been following me or my books, you know it’s taken a while for this last novel in the Deadgirl series to hit the streets, as the kids say (the kids do not say this). Turns out a three-year serious family medical journey and a pandemic is a real kick in the nards to creativity.
Anyway! I have good news and hopefully not bad news for those excited to read the final adventure of Lucy Day and Team Deadgirl.
The good news: DEADGIRL: DAYBREAK has a publish date: February 20th, 2024! And there’s a cover, too.

Cover art by Andy Garcia
Honestly, it’s my favorite cover so far, done by the same artist as the last three, Andy Garcia. Follow the link below the image if you need a book cover or other art, she’s the best. But that’s not all!
The hopefully not bad news: it isn’t the last Deadgirl novel anymore.
Turns out one of the reasons this book was taking so long is because it was two books all along. What a twist, I know, even for me. Imagine my surprise. I realized I could either publish the last book as the longest novel in history, or split it at an exciting but nail-biting stopping point and make an INFINITY WAR/ENDGAME type situation.
But the gooder(?!) news: you won’t have to wait long for the fifth and final book, because it’s like 80% finished already.
Double announcement: the fifth novel, DEADGIRL: GRAVEDUST, is being published August 20th, 2024. It’s only a six-month wait this time, thank Puck.
And ALSO announcing: nothing else, that’s it, don’t get greedy.
If you haven’t caught up on the series, haven’t read it at all, or want to get a copy for a friend, check out the Goodreads page for the series which has all the reviews and purchase links. Keep an eye out here or the various socials for links to the new book once those pages are up.
Excelsior!

Dancing like a drunk giraffe right now (sorry, Eleventh Doctor in-joke 😂 😉).
Same, honestly, haha. I’m excited to have finally cut this particular Gordian knot
